Central Pacific Costa Rica Dive Report December and January 2016

Central Pacific Costa Rica Dive Report and Forecast December 2015 & January 2016

Full steam ahead into the new season here on the central Pacific with some fantastic diving around both the Manuel Antonio area and down in Caño Island. With our new location at Marina Pez Vela, in downtown Quepos, we have been busy running tours and classes catering to all levels. From our first time divers, if you want to try it out, to our new dive pros going through their instructor programs. In the warm, blue waters of the Pacific, we have been having some great visibility, hanging out with our resident stingrays and moray eels exploring the Manuel Antonio coastline. Did you know you can either try diving for just one day, or if you want to get certified, it takes just 2.5 days? So come swimming with us around the reefs of Manuel Antonio. Trips head out every morning and afternoon. We are also approaching Manta ray season so we are starting to keep our eyes peeled.

Costa Rica Dive Report
Sting rays are a common sighting along the Manuel Antonio coast.

Down at Caño Island they have been having some fun encounters with the white tip reef sharks. You can get up close and personal if your buoyancy is good and learn about conserving them whilst diving with them. Full day trips down to Caño are available throughout the week, but make sure you book in plenty of time as we fill up quick. It’s the best time of year to go diving so come and blow some bubbles with us!
