NEW YORK, NY (May 14, 2012) — From beach communities in California to cottage-lined streets in Cape Cod, seaside towns are the ultimate places to live in natural beauty and bliss. In a special 15th anniversary issue, Coastal Living releases its first-ever ranked list of the 15 “Happiest Seaside Towns,” an exclusive roundup naming some of the best places to live along the coasts of the United States. Coastal Living ranks Jupiter, FL ninth on the list.

Life in Jupiter is easygoing and low-key, and yet there’s access to plenty of luxury amenities, whether you’re a visitor of a resident. On the down-home front, baseball devotees love the proximity to spring training—both the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins play at Jupiter’s Roger Dean Stadium. Tying it all together are those lovely Florida Atlanticcoast beaches—long, broad, and ranked consistently among the healthiest.

“In honor of our 15th anniversary, we are excited to share a list of the ‘Happiest Seaside Towns’ in America,” said Editor-in-Chief Antonia van der Meer. “By ranking the top 15 happiest seaside communities, we draw attention to places where life is good and the beach is close by. These towns boast a blend of such criteria as sunny days, walkable neighborhoods, easy commute times, healthy beaches, and more—plus that indescribable coastal vibe.”

Coastal Living shares the secrets to each town’s award-worthy appeal in the June issue, available on newsstands May 18.
