caught this 39" Redfish in Matlacha, FL.
This fish was caught out of a school of about 100 redfish in Matlacha, FL. This was the biggest one of the day measuring in at 39 inches. He ate a live Pinfish about the size of my hand. Along with me and my friends there was a numerous amount of other boats around us fishing the same school. This fish took about 150 foot of line and headed straight for a boat nearby. He ended up rapped around the boats power pole then the engine.
Friends on the water go along way because I ended up knowing the guy that had my redfish wrapped around his vessel every witch way. While he was hooked onto a 30-32" Redfish from the same school he respectfully trimmed up his motor and his power pole safely freeing my line from the tangled mess. He and I both successfully landed both fish. Both Redfish were also released safely as well.
