Everglades Backcountry Experience

by Capt. Rodney Raffield

Hi Coastal Anglers, Capt. Rodney with EBE here. Fishing through this month has been very good, with bunches of snook in the Backcountry. These fish are running mostly on the small side, with the occasional larger fish. But it looks very good for our snook fishing in the years to come. I am still catching some redfish, but not as many as in the last 3 months. They are running on the small side as well. These fish are falling for 1/4oz jigheads fitted with either a Zman or Wiffelure paddle tail in chartreuse, pearl, and gold glitter. Fish have finally showed up in the deeper holes, with good numbers of trout falling for the aforementioned lures. I expect fishing to continue being productive for the remainder of the winter. Remember I am an artificial specialist and I love to share my knowledge with others, so give me a call and let me show you what I do. Till next month, tight lines my Coastal Anglers friends, Capt. Rodney Raffield.
