October is a great month to be out on the Mississippi Sound and the beautiful Biloxi Bay. The inshore fishing this month should be some of the best you’ll see all year. October fishing means speckled trout and Biloxi Bay is the place to start. With the salinity finally up shrimp have come into the bay with the trout in tow. If the rain stays to a minimum look for these tasty species to be above Popps Ferry where the two rivers merge. The bulls should be working east and west of the bridge, try a Thunder cork with live shrimp and Vudo Shrimp to fool the trout. If you catch your limit of the silver wonders and want to enjoy some more fishing fun, the redfish will be active in the marsh around Big Lake and any piers along the bay. Large dead shrimp under a cork will work just fine on
these bay brutes. For those that like to fish out of kayaks, Popps Ferry causeway launch will put you in the middle of all this action. This is a great month to bring the kids out for some fast pace action and introduce them to the great outdoors.
October is a great month to book a fishing adventure with Fort Bayou Charters.
