Our first Instagram photo contest turned out great and I think I had the most fun. Some special thanks go out to JP Ross Fly Rods for offering our winners 2 great Adirondack Burl Fly boxes. I was graciously happy with all the pictures that the readers sent us, and it did reinforce this thought. WE CATCH SOME SERIOUS FISH IN UPSTATE NY.
Dave Maneri won the contest with a whopping 264 Instagram likes, Russell Oehler also landed a fly box with 196 likes. We are so fortunate with our many waters that produce a wide spectrum of Trophies. These were the species that Theanglermagazineupstateny Instagram randomly posted from readers; coho salmon, chinook salmon, steelhead, walleye, brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, northern pike, rainbow trout, brook trout and a bald eagle.
