Shark aficionados, videographers and photographers won’t want to miss this one! Hammerhead Shark Showdown hosted by Bimini Sands Resort and Marina and Neal Watson’s Bimini Scuba Center:

Video Week Shark Showdown:

January 25-Feburary 01, 2014

Photo Week Shark Showdown:

February 22-March 01, 2014

Underwater photo and video legends Howard Hall, Michele Hall, David Dublilet, and Jeremiah Sullivan, along with the GATES underwater team are prepared to present a week of sun, sand, sharks, and shooting.

Bimini has been at the forefront of shark science and shark conservation for decades with the establishment of the world renowned Bimini Biological Field Station (Sharklab), the world’s first Shark Free Marina and as part of the Bahamas Shark Sanctuary. Divers have also enjoyed countless species on various dive encounters, but this event marks the islands biggest media event dedicated solely to sharks.

Every year the great hammerheads migrate through the waters of Bimini. Neal Watson’s Hammer Headquarters offers encounters with these majestic creatures lead by guides who developed the site and have over a decade of experience diving there.

These two different weeks of adventure include shark diving, a wild stingray encounter, wild dolphins, a mangrove snorkel, meal, beverage and accommodations, pro workshops, one on one tutorials throughout the week and some pretty nice prizes.

Here’s the opportunity to experience the great hammerheads of Bimini with marine biologists, shark experts and photo and video pros. (Publisher’s Note: Could be a great holiday gift !)
