Hometown Heroes: SA Company

As all of our lives quickly got turned upside down with the outbreak of COVID-19, one of our local Palm Beach County manufacturers was compelled to help front line workers as well as the general public.  Their goal – to help protect the people that are shielding us from this virus.

SA Company, the outdoor apparel / lifestyle brand founded by CEO, Thomas Desernia (who is on the list of Forbes 30 Under 30), had been selling their Face Shields online for about 6 years when the pandemic started.  Suddenly, their Face Shields were in high demand by more than just anglers, hunters, and outdoorsmen; the entire population wanted them.

The e-commerce company was shocked by how many people and places did not have PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).  They donated over 15,000 Face Shields locally and across the nation to first responders and essential workers like police officers, firefighters, medical workers, grocery store employees, assisted living facilities, and more.

Next, they set out to help their local community. SA Company held a Face Shield drive at their headquarters in Boca Raton and gave away thousands more!   The plan was to give out one Face Shield per person, per car from 10 am to 2 pm.  Due to the immense turn out, they started two hours earlier than planned to accommodate. Be on the lookout for their next Face Shield drive.

SA (Salt Armor) Company sells more than just the highly demanded Face Shields, they manufacture all sorts of apparel, gear and accessories for fishing, hunting, boating, and other outdoor activities.  Please help support them as they have supported us by checking them out at www.safishing.com.

Thank you, SA Company, for being a Hometown Hero!
