Capt. Travis Freeman
June fishing in the Everglades is really heating up as we get all the much needed rainfall. The big female snook are starting to head back out to the gulf coast as they head offshore to spawn. This is always a super fun time to target and catch these big over slot snook! Huge tarpon are feeding on all the live mullet in the deep passes and along the gulf coast. As far as redfish, this time of the year they are all over the place! Most of the bigger redfish are in the backcountry and near shores along the gulf coast. Casting a jig or live bait is best for each and every one of the fish that I’m covering in this article. Most importantly make sure too have a GOOD time and enjoy your day on the water with family and or friends! One fish that we seem to always catch is Goliath grouper and they are everywhere! We caught one on a rod and reel with live bait that was well over 100 pounds about a week ago, but of course we didn’t take the fish out of the water because we always follow the laws. Now give me a call and let’s get out on the water so you can catch your bucket list fish, tomorrow with me Capt. Travis M. Freeman
