Hi, I’m Clayton McNamara and my family loves to fish! My dad is Captain Mike McNamara, and owns St. Marks Outfitters. A few days ago I went fishing in the St. Marks River with my dad and my brother. We went to go catch tarpon, but it didn’t work out like that. Once we launched the boat my dad started bringing us down the river. On our way to the destination we met a nice man that had crabs for sale in his crabbing boat. We bought some blue crabs to catch the tarpon.
Once we reached the destination we knew we were there, because there were giant explosions everywhere. I saw three big schools of minnows getting eaten by Jacks. Tight balls of Jacks were attacking the minnows. There must have been one hundred of them. I tried to catch them, but they didn’t take the bait. We fished all day, but I didn’t catch anything. My brother caught a bonnethead shark which was really cool. I saw some tarpon I just didn’t catch any. They were enormous silver fish soaring through the water. Even when I was heading back I knew I had a great experience, and so did my family.
