Lake Martian Forecast: Sept 2013

Lake Level: 489.60 (full pool 490.00) Water Temps Range: 84-89 degrees Water Clarity: Stained (in river) to clear (lower lake) August fishing has been off and on for catching any type of fish. The massive rainstorms daily have kept the dams generating at a high pace, which in turn has been messing with the thermocline along with surface temperatures. Until this unusual rain pattern lets up, I do not see things changing much. My prediction is once we get back to normal weather patterns, we will have some great fishing days regardless of what species you fish for. Until next time, I suggest you just continue going between thunderstorms, and take these slow days to scout areas you normally do not fish. Who knows, you might find yourself a new honey hole.
