42″ Red Drum in Jennettes Pier Nags Head NC.
The chase begins in mid September, fishing fever is the only way to describe it. From the Sea Gull pier on the Chesapeake bay bridge in the mouth of the bay, to VA beach pier and Sandbridge pier. Then south to the outer banks’ piers by October, ending up in Avon ,Hatteras Island by late November unti the pier closes by early December. I caught two decent size Drum at Jennettes pier Oct 15, this one had a number 7 on the tail. Got 6 for the 2017 season all together. A couple at Sandbridge, a 47 inchers at VA beach on Oct 2nd and one from cape point sand.
Not bad for me anyway but I still envy those guys who get 20 or 30 or more in one fall season. #pier pressure
