Mississippi Offshore Fishing Forecast: July 2013

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ello again from Fins and Grins charters. 2013 snapper season has come to a close. We have had quite a few fabulous catches, with lots of great guest. I am hoping that the rest of the summer season is as plentiful with fine catches. Most of the catches were in the 70-100 ft range around the rig structures, on live bait. Which is plentiful at the local bait shops (Biloxi Boardwalk Marina, Biloxi small craft bait, and Ocean Springs Marine Mart).these guys are working hard to keep their tanks full.

The weather is going to start to be more boater friendly so get out on the water, but make sure you have your motor checked out no need to get out here and break down. We had all our motors serviced at CROWNE LEISURE MARINE this week so we are on go.

The month of July looks to be a very good month, but it will be HOT so take it from someone who has been dehydrated before, drink lots of fluids (water).the fishing should be hot also with the opening of Amberjack hopefully they will open some other species that were closed . All this fishing will be at the 100ft. mark around structure. You will need a good bottom machine to find them, but when you do hold on because they will bring the fight.

At the end of the month the FINS AND GRINS TOURNAMENT TEAM will be fishing the CARL LEGGETT fishing tournament it is a great time with lots of prizes. It’s open to the public there are both inshore and offshore categories .look on line for more details. Hope to see you there. Til next time keep your lines wet and your eyes on the horizon. Would like to give a thank you to the guys at GULF HYDRAULICS (Philip, Phil ,and Terry)for the quick repair to my steering system.
