[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his time of year is trade show time and I am finally back home. This month I do want to write about a great new kayak that will be out February 2016. The New Native Watercraft Ultimate FX 13 Propel. This is the next generation of Native Propel fishing kayaks to date.

The Ultimate FX 13 Propel Is now the light weight pedal drive system on the market today. In Natives Fashion they talked to all there pro staff and Endorsed Guide team for input on how to design this kayak. So this is for fisherman designed by fishermen. This kayak is loaded.

The huge open stern lets you load and load gear easily and access that gear while on the water. In the front thwart you will find a built in battery box to power your electronics and a standard hatch covering the bow. In other Ultimate models this is a accessory you would have to purchase separately. This hatch is also going to help shed water that might come over the bow in rougher conditions on the water.

In the hull near the drive system there is a built in place to mount your transducer. This feature is going to put your transducer in the right spot under the kayak in the water where you will get a true reading and protected at the same time.

Just like the Ultimate FX 12 and 15 models the FX 13 propel has groove track system all around the kayak. This is going to allow you to custom rig your Propel to your style of fishing. Other standard rigging on this new Propel is Stay Tight Anchor Trolleys on both sides of the kayak so no matter the wind or the current you can anchor a face any direction you want to fish.

One final addition to this fishing kayak is there new adjustable rear thwart box. This box will adjust fore and aft on a set of groove tracks. This box can be used for storage holding plano boxes, a live bait well or even a drink cooler.

So now for some specs on this new Propel Ultimate It is 13 feet long, width is 32.5in. Fully rigged the Ultimate FX 13 Propel is 96 pounds with the removal of the seat and drive system the kayak drops to 79 pounds for loading and unloading. That seat that is removable is also the First Class Seating so comfort and breathability. Just another win for this kayak.

I can’t wait to get mine in February I have a order in already for mine. I love my Slayer 13 Propel but I just have to have this fishing kayak. Remember be safe on the water wear your life jacket and keep hooking up to fish.
