San Carlos Island, FL – May 4, 2017 Who says learning can’t be fun? The Ostego Bay Marine Science Center Summer Camps have become a tradition in the Fort Myers area. Joanne Semmer, President of the Ostego Bay Foundation stated, “We’re finding the parents that participated as children in our Summer Camps of the past are now bringing their own children to learn about nature.”

Summer Camp is held every year in June and July at the Marine Science Center for children ages 6 through 15. The camps are taught by state certified instructors who lead the campers on boat and beach excursions, teach about sea grass communities, plankton populations, mangrove tangles, and bird nesting areas. Ms. Semmer went on to say, “Our Camps offer that special re-connection with nature, build friendships and create fond memories.”  Register early as camps fill up quickly. Learn more or pick up a registration form at www.OstegoBay.org or call the Center at 239-765-8101.
