We’ve been seeing loads of bait pushing through in the last few weeks. Thousands of glass minnows are lining the beaches and huge schools of mullet and sardines are throughout the surf and inlets. Many species of fish are moving into the area and will be following these schools of bait. Snook will be stacking up underneath the docks, so drifting live baits underneath them with the current will get you hooked up. If you’re looking for the fight of your life, schools of big hungry tarpon will be cruising the beaches. This is a great time of year to target many different species, so make sure to get out and take advantage of some great fishing before it gets too hot.
The month of June is always an awesome time to be on the water. With mostly light winds out of the east, the gulf stays calm and water clarity remains at its best! Temperatures continue to climb, so it’s best to hit the water early while the fish will be feeding. With the water clarity at its best, it will be the perfect time to go kayaking or paddle boarding! We highly recommend paddle boarding during the spring months as you can see loads of fish and find cool things just beneath the surface. Standing up on the board provides the perfect vantage point to see things you might miss sitting in a kayak. Grab your friends and family and come see what you’ve been missing! See you on the water!
