Shawn Shapiro’s Record-Setting Red Drum
Shawn Shapiro was fishing the Chesapeake Bay out of Norfolk, Virginia, when he hooked a massive 45.67 inch red drum. Using a live croaker aboard his father’s boat “Sea Mes,” Shawn managed to land this record red drum, setting the IGFA All-Tackle Length Junior World Record for the species. After measuring the length on his official IGFA Measuring Device and taking a few photos, he safely released the fish back into the bay.Peter Fox’s Record Northern Pike
Peter Fox had an extraordinary day fishing out of Brabant Lodge in Northwest Territories, Canada. Using a prop fly, Peter hooked and landed an impressive northern pike after an intense battle. Measuring 110 centimeters on his official IGFA Measuring Device, this catch earned Peter the IGFA All-Tackle Length Fly World Record for the species.
