Pamela Moss Sets New IGFA World Record with Massive Landlocked Striped Bass in Georgia

On April 25, 2025, Pamela Moss landed an impressive 12-pound, 2-ounce landlocked striped bass while fly fishing the Chestatee River in Dahlonega, Georgia. With this catch, Moss set the IGFA Women’s 20 lb. Tippet Class World Record for the species.

Fishing alongside guide Dillon Lancaster, Moss hooked the record-setting bass on fly tackle. After weighing the fish on her certified scale to confirm the record, she released it safely back into the river.
