March, unlike other months, is when Mother Nature "wakes up" here in the Florida Panhandle. Flowers bloom, trees bud and fish begin to spawn. Not all fish spawn, but definitely the ones we're after do.
Bass Fishing- 2013 was an exception with water temps already in the high 60's. The norm is high 50's to low 60's depending on where you want to fish. Some guys like to fish for pre-spawn bass and others are still fishing deeper water for those lazy winter bass.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Ya know, I've been writing these reports and fishing forecasts for a long time and this is probably the first time that I'm not quite sure where to start on Lake Talquin.
1600 miles south of the North Pole is Lake Talquin. With the water temperature running around 55 to 60 degrees, you’re not likely to sight any floating ice. But, you are likely to see a few anglers out on the water trying out those new Christmas toys.
