From the Publisher – June 2018

June marks the beginning of the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane season and it runs through the end of November. Now is the time to check with your insurance agent to make sure that your policy is up to date and you have the proper coverage in place in case a named storm comes our way. Don’t be complacent and think we are in the clear because we got hit by Irma last year. Take time to formulate a plan now so that you are prepared and have a safe place to store your boat during a storm. If you wait until the last minute, you will most likely be out of luck.

Early indications are that June could provide some of the best dolphin fishing we’ve seen in years. Be sure to read this month’s feature article by Capt. Anthony DiGiulian as he shares some really good tips to help you hook up with slammer size dolphin. Some blackfin tuna will still be biting in the early morning and late afternoon. Amberjack action on the artificial reefs and wrecks will continue to be on fire. Bottom fishing should also be red hot with various snappers and some big groupers just waiting for you to drop a bait on their heads.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Be sure to check out our Father’s Day Gift Guide for some great ideas that your dad will love.

Keep reelin,
