From the Publisher – June 2020

It’s been said that life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it.

The last few months have been challenging to say the least as the COVID-19 virus has affected us all in one way or another. As we move forward during these unprecedented times, no one knows what tomorrow, next week or next month will bring, but we can choose how to handle what comes next. As of this writing, it appears that stay at home orders are beginning to loosen and businesses that were deemed non essential will soon open back up. Now, it’s more important than ever to support small business owners by shopping local. No matter what happens in the future, big box retailers and restaurant chains will survive. Whenever possible, please shop with the many local mom and pop operations that will depend on your dollars to survive.

With some of the best weather conditions we’ll see all year, June is a great month for fishing in South Florida. Blackfin tuna will still be around in good numbers. Dolphin fishing should produce better numbers this month, but you may have to venture a bit farther offshore to find them. On the reef, there should be plenty of kingfish biting and the snapper action is just getting going. Get out there and catch something!

Keep reelin,
