Albacore tuna is the only tuna species that can be marketed as “white meat tuna” in the United States. It has a lighter color than yellowfin or bluefin tuna, ranging from a pale beige to a rosy pink color in the raw form. It provides a healthy and hearty compliment to any entree.
Ingredients:Â
- Albacore Tuna Steak
- Sesame and poppy seeds
- Lemon
- Mixed Greens
- Mixed vegetables (suggested: heirloom tomatoes, carrots and cabbage)Â
- Avocado
- Goat Cheese
- Cashews
- Salt
- Balsamic Vinegar
Directions:Â
Coat tuna steaks in sesame and poppy seeds. Sprinkle lemon juice on top. Sear the tuna in a pan (3 minutes on each side). Fill a plate with mixed greens and add vegetables of your choice (or suggested ones listed above). Add goat cheese, cashews, avocado and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Pair with whole wheat couscous or your grain of choice. Sprinkle balsamic vinegar on top of everything. Serve and enjoy!
