[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ishing is amazing this month and the choices are endless. The grouper fishing is red hot! The snapper bite is on fire. Kingfish, wahoo and dolphin are on the prowl in the local waters offshore of Sebastian. Fishing tournament promoters can’t wait for this time of year, because they know the fishing is great. Amberjack fishing is consistent in the deeper depths. Don’t even drop a bait down for them until you reach 150 feet. Large live baits work best. When you bring up an amberjack, watch the water closely. Big schools of banded rudder fish are coming up with the AJ’s and can be caught on spinning rods with jigs and cut bait. Grouper and snapper fishing is as good as it gets. We have anchored up on spots and been covered up with mangroves just below the boat before we could get a line down! Live pinfish are the ticket for the grouper. The 60 to 100 foot depths have been productive. Trolling for dolphin, wahoo and kingfish is a blast as you try to keep up with the fast paced action this month.
