SISTERS Helping SISTERS

Harvey Took a Lot of Things But He Did Not Take The CANCER

After much consideration the Sisters Helping Sisters (SHS) 5th Annual Fishing Tournament “Celebrating 5 Years of Changing Lives” will go on as planned. Hurricane Harvey put a permanent scare on many peoples lives. A total of 8 of the ladies SHS supports lost everything to Harvey. One thing Harvey did not take away was the CANCER that they battle daily.

SHS, now in its 5th year has helped over 100 ladies battling cancer in our local area. They are nearing $200,000.00 being paid out to assist these ladies with things like rent, medical deductibles, electricity, food, parking, fuel, child care and transportation to treatment.

SHS invites you to a day of entertainment and a “BREAK” from all that Harvey has left behind. There will be a ladies fishing tournament, tradeshow. Motorcycle fun run and entertainment. The event is being held at Bayshore Park in San Leon on October 14th 2017. Their tradeshow, featuring over 50 vendors of all crafts will open at 10am. The motorcycle fun run will start at San Jacinto Harley Davidson at 11:30 and be escorted to the event. The fishing tournament weigh in begins at 1pm. Legendary Motown artist Cecil Shaw will begin performing at 4:00 pm.

Registration for all events is open at their website www.shstexas.org.
