Three Lantern Marine

By Frank Miccolis

The main body of stripers has arrived to the North Shore. There are plenty of big fish. A lot of stripers caught from shore but bigger fish by boat. Just a side note – there were two Atlantic salmon caught in the Ipswich area, both in the 34 inch range. The water is still very cold, so the best is yet to come.

The Annisquam River was alive with mackerel and stripers north of the bridge, all the way from Gloucester to Annisquam at slack tide. A few tuna have been harpooned and pulled up in trolls. Ground fishing has been strong on Jeffreys and Tillies.
