Snook fishing in June along the beaches will be hot. Snook start to move out to the beaches and inlets to spawn so there will be schools of them to catch and release. Snook season is closed until September so be sure to let them go. The best time to target them is early morning or night throwing plugs like Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnows or plugs that look like mullet. Live bait like greenies and live shrimp work well to. Best places are any Inlets and under lights during the night.

Tarpon will be moving along the beaches too and you need to be there at first light or dark, since these fish feed better at low light time. If its dark, use dark color lures like purple or black. Tarpon see these colors better at night. At bridges, tarpon will stack up along the shadow line and in the current. Live pinfish and mullet work best tied to an 8 or 9 circle hook with 80- to 100-pound leader. Some tarpon will be 50-pounds; others over 100, so you must have the right rod and reel to bring them in.

The trout bite will start to slow with the hotter temps but if you wade along the shore you will still get the smaller ones. A shrimp under a popping cork works best.

Jacks will still be crushing baits and the whole family can catch these fun fish. Just throw top water plugs and hold on.

Redfish fishing will be hard with warmer temps but you still can get them around the Bear Point area and Walton Road. Shrimp under a popping cork will work and soft rubber baits work great.

Good luck and tight lines!
