If you closed your eyes, could you imagine what $150 Million worth of Yachts and Boats look like all in one place? If you love boats, boating, fishing or just being on the water you don’t have to try to imagine it. You can see it for yourself again this spring at The Wharf in Orange Beach, AL.
The annual Wharf Boat and Yacht Show makes its return to The Wharf in Orange Beach March 29-31. Known in the industry for consistently producing record-breaking sales for dealers, The Wharf Boat & Yacht Show again promises to bring the best pricing of the year for Gulf Coast boat buyers.
The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show quickly grew from a local show in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores/Mobile/Pensacola markets to becoming a major force in the Southeast U.S. boating market.
The show’s ability to attract not only local dealers from Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Georgia but also manufacturers from across the country and from all facets of the marine industry is what drives highly qualified buyers to the Alabama Gulf Coast each spring.
In addition to boats, the latest technology in marine electronics and boating, as well as fishing tackle and accessories, from the companies, boaters know well and the upstart companies that are changing the boating industry, will all be exhibiting this March in Orange Beach.
Today, boating is even more about providing families with an opportunity to spend precious time together than ever before. That’s why the show’s weekend is filled with fishing and boating seminars, live music, food vendors, boating seminars exclusively for women, kids activities and the famous Triple Crown Fighting Chair Challenge raising money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show is always evolving and growing. More exhibitors, more vendors, more boats and more of everything about enjoying time on the water is the focus of this event. This year the footprint of the show expands once again at The Wharf to accommodate new dealers introducing new makes and models to the Gulf Coast.
Also new in 2019 will be in water boating seminars. Boat U.S. is offering an ‘Introduction to Boating’ three-hour training program as well as a ‘Women Making Waves’ three-hour training seminar. The Wharf Boat & Yacht Show will also introduce ‘The Sportfishing Simulator’ for anyone wanting to experience the thrill of catching a Marlin or Sailfish! This new virtual fishing experience uses rare underwater film footage of the strike and fight of both Marlin and Sailfish. This exciting angling challenge was recently featured at the International Game Fish Associations’ (IGFA) World Fishing Center.
Throughout the three days, world-class dining and shopping are always just steps away at the beautiful waterfront property of The Wharf. But the real stars of the show are the boats and yachts that are on display.
The Wharf Marina on the intra-coastal waterway is filled with the boats of owners both local and transients year-round. But every March the marina features over 150 boats in the water that are for sale. The in-water display is one of the extraordinary features of this show. New sportfishing yachts up to 74’ as well as brokerage yachts, center consoles and cruisers all draw big crowds yearly to the docks.
In addition to the boats in the water, nearly 700 boats are on display on the pristine grounds of The Wharf. No matter your boating preference you can find it at this show. Bay Boats, skiffs, center consoles, pontoons, cruisers, ski boats, personal watercraft and the newest, big horsepower outboard motors are available for inspection by would-be buyers. And of course, the special pricing and incentives from dealers and manufacturers that is only available at The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show ends when the show closes on Sunday, March 31.
The three-day show begins on Friday, March 29 with the Red Carpet Spectacular from 10 AM to 6 PM. Saturday, March 30th is Ladies Day also from 10 AM to 6 PM, and the show concludes on Sunday, March 31 with the annual Military & First Responder Appreciation Day from 10 AM until 4 PM.
