April is a month where fishing begins to unfold as the weather patterns begin to change from winter to spring. Trout should be active early morning around oyster beds and area docks. Area docks should also provide sheepshead in early April, and if the shrimp are around the redfish will be feeding.
April is also one of those months that fishing could be good throughout the day due to the mild temperatures of the water.
Keep your eyes on and near the banks for reds cruising looking for shrimp and crabs. Strickland Creek near US 1 can be very productive in the creeks for reds and snook.
