Fishing is good on the lake. The cool weather ought to help the bass bite even more. Some nice bass are being caught early in the mornings in the backs of Cedar Creek and Swift Creek. Bass are chasing bait around on top as they move back in the creeks. Try topwater in these areas early, then move to the closest docks with shaky heads. Green pumpkin colors are my favorite. Also, if you see any thick vegetation in these same areas, try throwing a Spro popping frog around for a better fish. Some bass and white bass are schooling in Gum Creek also, out in front of the bridge early and late in the day.
River fishing is going to be on fire this month and next. Shoal bass are biting good on topwater in the lower Flint. Try fishing the wood on the banks around the current later in morning for a big largemouth. We recently fished a 2 day tournament out of Lake Seminole. My partner and I ran up the Flint and finished 13th out off a 100 boats, averaging 25 fish a day with both Shoal and largemouth. We caught them all on topwater. Lots of fun!
