With high water and a cold morning, conditions weren’t looking good for some heavy weights to be brought to the scales. Under these conditions the bass just become lethargic and you have to be patient. That is exactly what Tim Celesti of Margate, Florida did in his approach. Fishing on the north side, Tim spent most of the day punching mats and giving his bait extra hold time under the mats to give the bass an extended look before they decided whether to take the offering. And today, if your bait wasn’t dressed with a skirt there were no takers. It was slow methodical work but it yielded a 5-fish limited weighing 20.0-lbs and 1st place and a check for $6,300.00.
