We recognize the tremendous sacrifices our Veterans and Active-duty service members have made to keep us free and secure.
In appreciation, the Onslow Bay Chapter of CCA NC hosts two semi-annual Veterans Fishing Tournaments in the spring and fall. The Billy Burch Wide Open Military Appreciation Fishing Tournament was held Oct 24-25th Onslow Bay CCA is blessed to have a variety of great boat captains who donate their boats, fuel, tackle, and time to get our Veterans on the water and catching some fish.
Our goal is that the Veterans merely have to show up with what they need to wear for the day and everything else is provided. In our very supportive military friendly community, we continue to grow a network of generous donors who make all of this possible. The donations they provide are used for door prizes, snacks, drinks, and usually a sumptuous North Carolina BBQ dinner.
