Bimini Offshore Fishing Forecast – September 2012

September is a great time to be in Bimini, especially offshore. Conditions are typically light winds, calm seas and warm water.

The August sailfish bite was red hot and will continue to be so through September. With slick calm days, anglers witnessed free jumping sailfish, as well as sailfish circling bait balls proudly displaying their dorsal fins. On beautiful September days anglers can expect to see multiple billfish each day coming off of the teasers and right onto a swimming mullet or ballyhoo. A few dolphin and wahoo can be caught on the weedlines and ledges ensuring a great meal that night. Grouper, yellowtail, and some mutton snapper are still biting around the reefs.

For the “adventure of a lifetime” make sure you take advantage of this fantastic fishing so close to Florida.
