[dropcap]M[/dropcap]arch can often herald a slight warming trend for the Bimini’s. Certainly the cold fronts bring less cold air this month, even if they are still bringing unfavorable winds. The seas can still be quite choppy this month, so if you’re crossing in your own boat, or planning on coming over to dive with one of Bimini’s three Dive Operations, plan ample time so that if you get blown out a day or two, you still had plenty of time to get wet.
The big sharks like great hammerheads and bull sharks are still around Bimini in huge numbers. Dives can be booked with Neal Watson’s Bimini Scuba Center or Bimini Big Game Club to see these magnificent Alex predators in an up close and safe setting. After the dive or on a bad weather day, don’t forget to make it up to Big Game’s dock and watch a massive school of bull sharks fight over some handouts from crew and fishermen.
All in all, March is a fantastic month to explore Bimini’s underwater diversity, and because of that it can be one of our busiest months. So make sure and contact your favorite operator as soon as you can to book some amazing expeditions!
