Rumor is red snapper is opening this month for a few weekends. You should not have any problem catching them! I had several this month in the teens trolling for kingfish on pogies. Pelican and 8A have plenty of reds on them. If you want to venture out a little deeper thereâs always the 21 and 27 fathom. Basic bottom rig consists of an 8-10 oz egg sinker with 6-8 foot of 80lb mono and an 8/0 hook. Watch your machine and when you drop down reel it up a few cranks.Brevard - Chris CameronJul 1st, 2013
