Rarely do I have trouble sleeping. As I write this forecast. it is 1 a.m. and I have to tell you today was something special! I got to see something few will ever see and might find hard to believe. On today’s charter, we got to see a SCHOOL of blue marlin! Not just 5 or 6 but 20 to 30. Some so big you wouldn’t believe me so I will leave it at that! We happened upon a school of mahi-mahi number in the thousands. REALLY! They were in the 12- to-15 pound range. We caught a lot to say the least. We cleaned up and gave the guests on board one heck of an adventure! There were bait showers from hundreds of mahi-mahi trying to escape the hungry marlin. Imagine a bait shower of hundreds of mahi-mahi trying to escape dozens of hungry blue marlin. It is something I will never forget! You spend your whole life on the sea and you may never get to see what I got to see today. April is going to be a fantastic month in the Exumas.

So, get out there and fish! It could happen to you too! You just never know!! What the day may bring! I still can’t sleep!
