- Oct 2: This month’s speaker is Expert Panel made up of Club Members who are the Best Surf Fisherman around. Headed by Jeff Rafter, Director of Flagler Sportfishing Club. This panel will discuss techniques, equipment, fishing spots and the rigs/bait to use.
-Our Quick Tips will cover the proper fishing equipment to use for the various type of fishing in the Flagler County area.
-Quick Tips will begin at 7:00pm, followed by the meeting at 7:30pm at the VFW on Old Kings Rd. in Palm Coast. - Oct 6 & 7: Event Title: Free Kids Fishing Clinic at Creekside Festival

Description: As part of the Kids Zone within the Creekside Festival sponsored by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, there will be a Free Kids Fishing Clinic sponsored by the Flagler Sportfishing Club. Kids ages 5-13 are welcome and must be accompanied by their parent. There will be 6 stations of learning and they are: Knot Tying, Conservation, Throwing a Cast Net, Casting, Habitat and Proper Fish Handling. The first 200 kids upon completion of all 6 stations will receive a free fishing rod and reel courtesy of Fish Florida. There will be 2 clinics held each day so if you miss one you can come to the next one.
