FLORIDA’S NEW BASS REGULATIONS

The new regulations are state wide. A few resource management zones with specific guidelines remain in effect, refer to www.MyFWC.com for details.

The new daily bag limit for all bass is (5) bass per day.

For Largemouth Bass:

  • No minimum size limit.
  • Only (1) bass 16-inches or longer in total length.

For Shoal, Choctaw, Suwannee and Spotted Bass

  • Bass less than 12-inches in total length must be released immediately.
  • Shoal Bass Conservation Zone established for a portion of the Chipola River.

Tournament Exemption Permits are required to weigh in more than one fish over 16-inches. All fish must be released alive. Refer to www.MyFWC.com/License/Freshwater/Bass-tournament for details.
