Grand Bahama Dive Forecast – April 2012

UNEXSO logo

As the strong winds of the winter months are releasing their grip, we are expecting calmer days and more comfortable dives. Visibility has been very clear through the winter and the water is warming up. We do expect a water temperature average of 76 degrees through the month of April and minimal currents affecting our dives.

April is a great month to consider getting over to Grand Bahama to prep for the spring and summer dive season. From Open Water Diver to the special Shark Feeder course, all the way to technical diving courses, the range of courses offered by Grand Bahama Island dive operators falls short of the Ice Diver and Altitude Diver, but anything else on the menu is readily available through capable instructors. Make sure you inquire about availability, and if interested, book your dive location. Requests are high and space is limited to make sure everybody enjoys a wonderful time out at sea. We are coming out of a long winter, so if it has been a while since you’ve been diving, we recommend that you take a refresher course before you attempt a major dive trip. It only takes a couple of hours of your time, and in return guarantees a longer time of fun under the sea.

Good visibility, warming waters, reefs, wrecks and ledges; Grand Bahama is looking forward to a great dive season.
