Well June is here and the fish are still happy and eating well, but the water is starting to get a little warm for the bonefish. The bonefish would like the water temperature to be about 70- to 80-degrees; any lower or higher they will move off the flats into deeper water. But here in East Grand Bahama it seems like the permit don’t mind the warm water since more permit is caught in the summer months then the winter. There is so much to fish for here in Grand Bahama–the reefs and channels are alive with mutton snapper, yellow tail, jacks, barracudas and more. All I can say is these are fishing time—fly fishing, spin fishing, have it you way—the fish are here.
