[dropcap]F[/dropcap]or sure it is better in the Bahamas and that goes for the fishing too so I will say to all my fellow Bahamians and friends alike, let’s try and do our part to keep it that way. If we don’t follow the rules and think for the future, there will not be anything left for the next generation. That is my ten cents.

March is a great time for fishing in East Grand Bahama although we had some cold fronts passing through. Once the front is passed, the fish are happy again, the water temperature is still good, so the bonefish and permit are still on the flats, and if you like to fish for barracuda, the flats are loaded with ‘cuda. For those who have never tried barracuda fishing on the flats, you don’t know what you missing! For the spin rod, we use a tube lure. Green is the best color for a ‘cuda fly. The reef and channel are still great locations to fish mutton snapper, gray snapper, and many more. You can do it! The fun never stops on the water here in Grand Bahama.
