[dropcap]S[/dropcap]eptember is what I like to call the beginning of the second half of the bone fishing season. All summer the fish were in mostly large schools spawning, but now you will begin to see many of the bonefish come out of the larger schools in to smaller groups, even single and doubles. Some of the true sport of fishing is being able to see a nice big single bone or permit, getting a good cast to it, and watching the fish hit the fly or the bait, or whatever you are using.

We talk about bonefishing but there is so many other things to fish for here in East Grand Bahama, the fun never stops. We even have great spearfishing for those who love to do that. We do it all—reef fishing, spearfishing, we have more blue holes in East Grand Bahama, I believe, than any place in the Bahamas, so it’s a great place for snorkeling. Fishing in the Bahamas is always great, and September is just another awesome time to be on the water in our Bahamas.
