[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he fishing out of West End, Grand Bahama is looking very promising for the summer season.

The Mike Schmidt Winner’s Circle Tournament was recently held at Old Bahama Bay. Twenty blue marlins, two white marlins, and two sailfish were released.

Dolphin are still abundant, late season wahoo are still here, and a few yellowfin tunas have been caught.

We expect to still see the dolphin migration begin soon. Blackfin tuna and skip jack tuna are showing up, and right behind them are the blue marlin that feed on them.

The calm summer water will be great for bottom fishing and deep dropping.  Barracudas are plentiful to use as your deep drop baits. Yellow eyes and queen snappers caught in 600-1,200 feet have been showing up at the dock.

Look forward to seeing you this summer!
