[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he cool fronts that have already started will begin to push the annual migration of the wahoo and tuna to the south. The fronts seem to be a coming a little earlier, which might bring a peak of the wahoo season by Thanksgiving. Prepare your heavy-headed wahoo lures with or without belly strips. I prefer tough wahoo strips, but salted barracuda or bonito strips work well also. You will want to pick up your speed and troll between 9-and -15 knots. This will create a smoking bubble trail especially for your top water baits. For catching the tunas, I like to troll my small tuna getter lure way back on the center rigger away from the commotion. The dolphin bite has been exceptional on the west side of the Gulf Stream and should be as good or better on the east side near the Bahama bank. This fisherman is looking forward to the cooler weather and a little more chop on the sea.

See you on the rip.
