[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ard to believe that fall has arrived. We find ourselves thinking about pulling out those shorty wetsuits, but wait! Here on the Island of Grand Bahama we are still diving in water that feels like bath water. You really have to visit and enjoy diving with the underwater animals.
Lately, we have been seeing turtles in large numbers, which is a good thing! October is also known for spotting those elusive manta rays.
If you are not a diver, donât despair. Grand Bahama also has awesome snorkeling. If you go by boat with us, there is Silver Point and Treasure Reef. For those not sure of boating, Grand Bahama has Paradise Cove in Dead Manâs Reef. It is run by the Smith Family and they take exceptional care of you with chairs and showers on the beach and wonderful food served from their snack bar.
Last but not least, it is still hurricane season and we must be vigilant. Many may not remember, but Hurricane Sandy made her appearance in October here on Grand Bahama. Letâs hope it stays as quiet as it has been all summer!
Remember, âItâs Better in the Bahamas and the diving is the greatest on Grand Bahamaâ! Come a see us real soon. We will keep the dive lights burning for you!
