My Fishing Adventures

Hello Anglers,

This last month has been quite eventful for me. We finally got the Nor-Tech 392 Superfish as our tournament boat and were able to fish from it. I had high expectations of this boat and it met every single one of them and so much more. The fishability is amazing and it is a comfortable and fast boat. I would not change a thing about it. We fished in a tournament in rough seas and were able to cruise at a steady speed and be comfortable with the conditions that we were in. I also recently took a trip with my girlfriend and our families. We went to Crystal River to go scalloping, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. It was a 4-hour drive and we got stuck in rush hour traffic which made it so much longer. Once we got there it was late at night so there wasn’t much to do except get everything unloaded. The next day we went out scalloping and to my surprise, we were getting a lot less than I expected. After our first try, we barely got any, so we moved to an area that was about 5 feet deep and had better luck. Apparently, the scallops were deeper due to all the recent rain. Throughout the day we filled up a 5-gallon bucket and brought the scallops to a plantation to be cleaned. We had similar results the next day but this time we cleaned the scallops ourselves. At first it was extremely difficult to not mess up and butcher the scallops. We soon got the hang of it and had a good system going which cleaned them up quickly. On our way back we went to Three Sisters Springs to snorkel. The springs were only around 12 feet deep and much colder than I thought it would be, however it was still a really cool experience as my first time ever diving at a natural spring. After a great blackened scallop dinner, we visited our friends and had a great time with them just chilling out. The trip was amazing, we had a blast, and we made a lot of memories! I recommend checking out Crystal River and going scalloping. It’s relaxing and fun to do with family.
