Larger bass are slowly beginning to move into the shallows on the South end of Lake Kissimmee in particular on the East side of the lake. Smaller bass on the West side of the lake but good numbers. Flat pad areas seem to be best at this time. Most strikes are occuring on top water soft plastics. Scum frogs, swim baits and jerk baits are producing the best results. Shiners are working well off shore especially in the cuts or off shore in sparse hydrilla.
Specks have really turned on with the recent cool down. Deep grassy areas on Lake Kissimmee are best at this time. Also, Lake Rosalie is producing not only good numbers but big slabs as well. Open water 10’-14’ depths are working best on Lake Rosalie. A slip cork and minnow rig set at 7’ is working best.
