The first leg of the Lightbourne Marine Wahoo Challenge was held on Saturday, December 7th. Five boats participated in the tournament and more have committed to the second leg scheduled for Saturday, January 18. The conditions were sunny with winds 15 knots out of the east. Bay Street Marina, the host marina for the tournament, proved to be a great location for the event. As is typical with most fishermen, the anglers kept their fishing spots “top secret”. When the winning team was asked where they fished, they just replied, “Our normal circuit.” The largest fish of the tournament was a 67 lb. 3 oz. wahoo caught by White Rat.
