It is summer time in the Bahamas, not too hot and not too cold with temperatures in upper 80’s and lower 90’s. The flats are almost empty of fishermen, except for those who choose to come and have these great fishing grounds all to themselves, and they are having a blast! The fish on the flats are plentiful and chasing and eating any fly that’s cast in front of their path. Forget about the crazy tale of Bahamian peak fishing season from February through May. Come down and see for yourself. The winds are mainly light and variable with just enough breeze to keep the flats enjoyable. The fishing has no pressure, no crowds just an abundance of hungry fish just waiting for your flies. Not to worry about tying new flies. Bring what you have left over from your last trip these fish is not picky. You will not regret your Bahamian summer bonefishing and you will have some fishing tales only a few other anglers can match. A week away from your usual trout and salmon fishing will not hurt and the experience will be priceless The Long Island flats and our big bonefish are waiting to give you an experience that is out of this world.
