Although the holidays have passed, January is still a festive month of giving and receiving. Why? The dive sites are giving out their underwater splendor and the divers are on the receiving end as the clear January air and sky greets you here in Nassau. While the water may be a little cooler, for those of you from “up north”, it will seem ideal. For us here in Nassau, especially if you are a Nassauvian, the water is cold. The cooler water temperatures are idyllic for the photo buffs, as visibility is awesome and exceeds 100 feet on many dives. So that 5mm wetsuit you got as a gift last year should be perfect to just keep the chill away and lengthen you bottom time comfort. Despite the fact that there are frequent cold fronts creating choppy sea conditions, there are always protected sites on the lee of the island. Now that the ham, turkey, fruit cake and eggnog has all gone down, it’s time that you go down and put in some bottom time on Nassau’s great dive sites. LET’S GO DIVING.
