The sun is hot and the winds are light on the flats around Nassau during the month of July. Big bonefish are most active in the cool of the mornings and are seeking the deeper edges by midday. In order to be prepared for fishing deeper, make sure you have some lead eye Clousers in chartreuse for deeper fish. You may even consider an intermediate sinking line.
The summer has brought the permit in and we have been getting great shots at these prize fish. Permit demand accurate casting, nerves of steel and divine intervention. You may want to study their behavior and feeding habits. This knowledge will increase your odds of a catch.
